The big news is that Paul Oil & Propane’s office is now located in Norwich, NY. We have joined forces with our sister organization Reese-Marshall in a bid to reduce costs and expand our range of services.
Sister organization? What is that?
For many decades Paul Oil & Propane and Reese-Marshall have been connected through our parent company Reinhardt Corp., a family-owned and locally-operated fuel distribution business in West Oneonta. Over the years, being part of a “family” has meant more flexibility and better support. Keeping the office in Hamilton made sense at one time, but now it is a luxury we can no longer afford.
Why move?
The goal is to improve our services and keep costs down in an effort to serve you better.
New logistical challenges created by biofuel regulations in combination with the location of our bulk storage made consolidating Paul Oil into Reese-Marshall a cost-saving move. The rapid rise in transportation costs (diesel fuel) intensified this effect. We anticipate meaningful savings through dispatch and delivery efficiencies that were unattainable when operating out of Hamilton. These savings mean we can keep our prices competitive and our service more responsive. We will have more staff on hand to answer calls and more redundancies mean a quicker response time whether you need a delivery … or HVAC service 😊 (Read on!)
The bonus: Paul Oil customers will now have access to Reese-Marshall’s top-notch Service Department!
Reese-Marshall’s Service Department can respond to HVAC repairs 24/7, and provide free consultations and estimates on new HVAC equipment, as well as installation. Reese-Marshall also offers Service Plans for those who want to limit costs on regular maintenance and repair bills.
Aside from moving the physical office, very little should change for our customers. All customer account information will all be retained and our ceiling price program, customer policies, customer portal access, Loyalty Program, Farm Program and Budget Plans will continue as before. The only downside is there are some customers we have had to say goodbye to – it was just too expensive to drive the distance and make the delivery at a fair price. We regret having to turn down customers, but we believe we will be stronger and be able to serve our remaining customers better as a result
And while we will no longer have an office in Hamilton, Reese-Marshall offers counter service at 6254 County Rd, Norwich.
